One of the best baby toys: orange juice lids. When she's older, she can learn to sort and stack them. John and the twins had a similar toy: AOL CD-ROMs. These are nearly as plentiful, but much safer to our music collection.

Sylvia's gown was made by her grandmother Catherine, who used vintage cloth to give it that antique look.
